The much-anticipated AU Games 2024: Triwizard Tournament opened with grandeur on November 18, 2024, at Sala Chaturamuk Phaichit, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) ‘ s Suvarnabhumi Campus. Organized by the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO), the event sets the stage for a month-long celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and excellence in athletics.
The opening ceremony began with a lively Faculties Parade, as students from various faculties proudly represented their departments, fostering a sense of unity and excitement. The evening continued with a welcome speech from Mr. Zaw Ye Htet, the Project Director, who shared the event’s objectives of promoting student well-being and strengthening bonds among the university community.
In his inspirational opening address, Rev. Bro. Dr. Monthol Prathumarach, Vice President for Special Affairs, emphasized the importance of sports in developing discipline, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition. He encouraged participants to give their best in every game while upholding the values of sportsmanship and integrity.
Following the speeches, athletes participated in an energizing warm-up session, setting the tone for the competitive events ahead. The tournament officially launched with the 6-kilometer and 3-kilometer runs, as enthusiastic cheers from the crowd fueled the runners’ determination.
The highlight of the evening was the Award Ceremony, where Rev. Bro. Dr. Monthol Prathumarach presented medals and certificates to the winners, celebrating their remarkable achievements.

3-Kilometer Run (Women’s Division): Winner: Hui Xiang (Doctoral degree program), 1st runner up: Dana Yama (MSME), and 2nd runner up: Konkanok Songsonti (Arts)
3-Kilometer Run for Student Activity Units (Men’s Division): Winner: Nathan Delannoy (Music), 1st runner up: Seng Htoi Awng (AR), and 2nd runner up: Suebsak Macharoenrungrueang (MSME)
3-Kilometer Run for Student Activity Units (Women’s Division): Winner: Inzali Chan Myae (Julia) (MSME), 1st runner up: Phu Myat May Thu (AIESEC), and 2nd runner up: Wyne Nadi (Catholic Club)
6-Kilometer Run (Men’s Division): Winner: Chalee Sriyouk (Arts), 1st runner up: Asarnha Janphiboon (MSME), and 2nd runner up: Krittaphas Buatin (Arts)
6-Kilometer Run (Women’s Division): Winner: Su San Shwe Yee Bo (VMES), 1st Runner up: Chanya Prasertrattanadecho (Arts) and 2nd runner up: Duangporn Supanvanij (Com. Arts)
