Assumption University of Thailand (AU) reinforced its institutional commitment to responsible data governance by hosting a training program titled “PDPA for AU Workplace: From Compliance to Practice” on February 19, 2026 at the Amaret Pitak Room, Suvarnabhumi Campus.
From Policy to Practice
The program was opened by Mr. Sompol Na Songkhla, Legal Advisor and Data Protection Officer (DPO) of AU. In his keynote remarks, he emphasized the University’s strategic focus on effective data protection and the importance of preparing essential documents tailored to each unit’s operations. These included the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA), Privacy Notices, and Consent Forms, all of which serve as critical tools for risk management and institutional trust.
The training reflected AU’s broader goal of moving beyond regulatory awareness toward operational readiness, ensuring that data protection principles are applied consistently across academic and administrative functions.
