AU Celebrates Thai New Year with Joy and Tradition
The AU Songkran Festival 2025 brought color, culture, and community to life on April 9 at the Suvarnabhumi campus—and what a beautiful celebration it was!
From the early morning alms giving ceremony to the heartfelt Rod Nam Dam Hua water pouring ritual, the AU family came together to honor tradition, share blessings, and welcome the Thai New Year with smiles and respect.
AU administrators led by example, graciously participating in the water pouring ceremony at the Thai Pavilion. Their presence reminded us all of the importance of unity, gratitude, and cultural pride.

The campus was filled with vibrant Thai fabrics, fragrant flower garlands, and plenty of laughter. Many took time to sprinkle scented water on the Buddha image at AU Plaza, adding a peaceful, spiritual touch to the festivities.
A delicious lunch reception followed, giving students, faculty, and staff a chance to relax and connect.
Big thanks to the Office of Thai Art and Culture, Student Affairs for organizing such a meaningful event, and to everyone who joined in and helped make it so memorable.
Here’s to a joyful, prosperous, and peaceful new year!
